We are constantly trying to improve the coffee we supply throughout the supply chain, from selecting the right origin partners to profiling the coffee on our roaster to rigorous quality control checks for every batch of coffee we roast. However, the brew’s success ultimately depends on the barista’s skill – all of the hard work done at the origin and in the roastery can be ruined in a matter of seconds if it is brewed incorrectly through your machine.
Through our own Rhostio Speciality Coffee programme, we offer a variety of courses in Barista Skills, Brewing, and Sensory Skills. We can create bespoke training tailored to your needs if necessary.
We provide coffee and barista training for both individuals and large groups. Our training is designed to help anyone who wants to learn and develop their coffee skills, from beginners to advanced baristas.

Maintenance & Installation Services
Preventative and Annual Servicing
Manufacturers advise servicing coffee machines at various intervals throughout the year; at Rhostio, we recommend up to two services per year, based on usage. This includes a 6-month preventative service and an annual service lasting 12 months. Contact us to find out more.
Machine Installation
We can install bulk brewers, hot water boilers, classic espresso equipment, and some bean-to-cup machines. We can also provide you with all the necessary equipment.
Grinder Burr Replacement
Depending on the amount of coffee ground, the blades/burrs of the grinder must be replaced every six to twelve months. As the cutting teeth on the burrs lose their sharpness, the coffee ends up being milled rather than cut evenly, resulting in the production of fines, which can have a detrimental effect on the flavour of the coffee. Rhostio provides a change and service for grinder burrs.
Coffee Machine Sales

Water Filtration
Water is arguably the most essential component of a cup of coffee, as it accounts for up to 90% of espresso and even more of filter coffee. Not only does water filtration enhance the flavour of coffee, but it also helps prevent machine malfunctions. 60–70% of coffee machine breakdowns are attributable to limescale. This makes adherence to a strict filter programme an essential aspect of operating a coffee machine. After a certain capacity of water (measured in litres) or 12 months, whichever comes first, water filters expire. During a preventative or annual service, the technician will inspect and replace the filter as necessary. We have recently begun installing aqua metres on the filter heads to facilitate monitoring of the water filter’s capacity.
